It might seem odd that I’m writing a column based on the life of a fictional blood spatter analyst/serial killer. But, having recently become a fan of Dexter, I’ve realized that the show actually contains lot of subliminal career advice. 

What can we learn from everyone’s favourite vigilante? A few good lessons, actually.

Do what you’re good at

Dexter found his 9-5 calling in the forensics department, based on his lifelong obsession with blood. He’s great at his job because he’s passionate about it (however creepily endearing that is for a loveable serial killer).
