A job application, put simply, is a reflection of your personality and your professional skill-set. What’s more, you’ve only got about 10 seconds to reflect well on your potential employer.

Most job applications are treated as a formality. All you need to do, it’s assumed, is to submit an application as soon as possible and you’ll be automatically on a hiring manager’s radar. What many don’t realize is that your resume and cover letter ARE your foot in the door. If you’ve quickly cut and pasted something together, how do you think that reflects on you? What does that say about you and your professional skill set?
